MITOSIS STAGES.
WHAT IS MITOSIS? Mitosis is nuclear division plus cytokinesis, and produces two identical daughter cells during prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Interphase is often included in discussions of mitosis, but interphase is technically not part of mitosis, but rather encompasses stages G1, S, and G2 of the cell cycle. PROPHASE Chromatin in the nucleus begins to condense and becomes visible in the light microscope as chromosomes. PROMEMETAPHASE The nuclear membrane dissolves, marking the beginning of prometaphase. Proteins attach to the centromeres creating the kinetochores. METAPHASE Spindle fibers align the chromosomes along the middle of the cell nucleus. This line is referred to as the metaphase plate. ANAPHASE The paired chromosomes separate at the kinetochores and move to opposite sides of the cell. TELOPHASE Chromatids arrive at opposite poles of cell, and new membranes form around the daughter nuclei. CYTOKINESES In animal cells, cytokinesis results when a fiber ring composed of a protein called actin around the center of the cell contracts pinching the cell into two daughter cells, each with one nucleus. In plant cells, the rigid wall requires that a cell plate be synthesized between the two daughter cells. |
PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar. This process occurs in plants and some algae. Plants need only light energy, CO2, and H2O to make sugar. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast, specifically using chlorophyll , the green pigment involved in photosynthesis.
The overall chemical reaction involved in photosynthesis is:
6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2.
OR
Water+Carbon Dioxide+(light Energy)= Glucose+Oxygen.

OSMOSIS.
The process that causes a liquid (especially water) to pass through the wall of a living cell. the tendency of a fluid, usually water, to pass through a semipermeable membrane into a solution where the solvent concentration is higher, thus equalizing the concentrations of materials on either side of the membrane.
OR
High Concentration to Low Concentration.

Punnett Square
Punnett square The is a diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment and is used by biologists to determine the probability of an offspring's having a particular genotype. The Punnett square is a tabular summary of every possible combination of one maternal allele with one paternal allele for each gene being studied in the cross. These tables give the correct probabilities for the genotype outcomes of independent crosses where the probability of inheriting copies of each parental allele is independent.
Chromosomes
A chromosome is packaged and organized chromatin, a complex of macromolecules found in cells, consisting of DNA,protein and RNA. The main information-carrying macromolecule is a single piece of coiled double-stranded DNA, containing many genes, regulatory elements and other non-coding DNA. The DNA-bound macromolecules are proteins, which serve to package the DNA and control its functions. Chromosomes vary widely between different organisms. Some species also contain plasmids or other extrachromosomal DNA.
The Picture below are Male Chromosomes because the extra 23rd chromosomes are XY.

Meiosis
The process of cell division in sexually reproducing organisms that reduces the number of chromosomes inreproductive cells from diploid to haploid, leading to the production of gametes in animals and spores in plants.
These Picture Below are the steps in which Meiosis take place.

Plague Inc.
An iOS and Android strategy video game, developed by one-man developer Ndemic Creations. The player creates and evolves a pathogen in an effort to destroy the world with a deadly plague.
The Andromeda Strain
The Andromeda Strain (1969), by Michael Crichton, is a techno-thriller novel documenting the efforts of a team of scientists investigating the outbreak of a deadly extraterrestrial microorganism in Arizona that rapidly and fatally clots the blood in most humans, while inducing insanity in a small handful of others. The Andromeda Strain appeared in the New York Times Best Seller list, establishing Michael Crichton as a genre writer.
